Ford Neel is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He began his insurance career with Genesee General in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he served as a Transportation Associate Underwriter. In that role, he specialized in commercial auto coverage for new venture trucking operations across Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama, gaining valuable experience in underwriting and risk evaluation.
Ford joined The Sanford Company in the fall of 2016 as a licensed Life & Health Agent, managing and overseeing employee health benefits for nursing facilities through an insurance dental program throughout Atlanta and North Georgia. In the fall of 2020, he transitioned to the Property & Casualty division as a licensed commercial insurance producer, where he works closely with businesses to identify, manage, and insure complex risks.
In April 2025, Ford was promoted to Executive Vice President of The Sanford Company. In addition to serving clients, he is actively involved in the day-to-day management and strategic operations of the agency, helping guide its continued growth and long-term success. Following in his father’s footsteps, Ford is also involved in the formation and management of captive insurance companies, providing clients with innovative risk-financing solutions and alternative insurance structures tailored to their unique needs.
