Bruce Hehn began his insurance career in 1997 when he joined the underwriting department of Med Plan, a small group medical plan originating in Dalton Georgia. Following that he began his sales career, working with Monumental Life as a captive agent. In 2001 Bruce became head of the Life & Health department at a local agency in Dalton. For the next 15 years he developed a book of business with heavy emphasis on Employee Benefits. This led to Bruce purchasing a P&C agency in Dalton where he combined his Life & Health business with the new P&C entity. He titled the new agency: BDH Insurance Solutions LLC in 2018. Finally in 2026 BDH Insurance Solutions was acquired by The Sanford Company.
Academically, Bruce got his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and later his Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs Michigan in 1983. Bruce has served as a Local Church Pastor and a Hospice Chaplain, among other church-related roles. After transitioning to an insurance career Bruce earned his Master of Managed Healthcare (MHP) in 2007.
Bruce values the client relationship aspect of the insurance business, realizing that insurance is first and foremost a service-based industry. His sees his job as helping people find solutions to protecting the things they value most and educating them on how insurance works and meets their needs.
